*\*\*Job Overview\*\**
A Physical Therapist performs treatments and exercises to help patients recover from illnesses and injuries using various treatment techniques to develop personalized treatment plans, prescribing medications to relieve pain and increase mobility and teaching patients exercise techniques to improve their health.
*\*\*Job Duties:\*\**
* Conduct thorough evaluations to assess children's motor development, strength, coordination, and range of motion.
* Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation findings and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
* Implement evidence-based interventions and therapeutic activities to improve motor function, balance, and mobility.
* Provide ongoing assessment and modification of treatment plans to ensure progress and goal attainment.
* Collaborate with caregivers and other healthcare professionals to educate and support children and their families throughout the treatment process.
* Document all assessments, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in accordance with regulatory standards and best practices.
* Stay updated on the latest pediatric physical therapy techniques, research, and advancements to enhance the quality of care provided.
* Delegate duties to support personnel as appropriate.
* Maintain communication with staff and outside agencies per state guidelines
* Refer patients to medical specialists in dentistry, ST/PT, psychology, or other related fields.
*\*\*Required Knowledge and Skills\*\**
* Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and medical imaging
* Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance plans
* Familiarity with a variety of physical therapy related disorders
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Basic computer literacy
* Ability to comply with all regulatory standards
*\*\*Education and Experience\*\**
* Doctorate or master’s degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.
* Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist
* 1-2 years of clinical experience as a physical therapist.
