Job Description
Develop European sales strategy for the Applications business, assist specialist sales teams in market units to execute the strategy and foster innovation in the selling process to accelerate growth of Applications solutions.
Achieve and exceed assigned orders and revenue targets.
Build campaigns for Applications and help the specialist sales team execute these campaigns to continuously generate and manage a strong pipeline of opportunities that support the financial targets.
Develop positive relationships with customer stakeholders and executive sponsors to drive product adoption, becoming a trusted advisor and gaining a deep understanding of typical business challenges faced by customers in Europe.
Monitor key performance metrics, including new business growth across Market Europe, upsell/cross‑sell lead identification, campaign effectiveness, referenceability, adoption, and customer engagement.
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
Develop CxO relationships with key customers and maintain a cadence of executive engagements with customers and Nokia stakeholders.
Build, nurture a virtual and vertically integrated community comprising specialist sales and pre‑sales to position Application solution value propositions, articulating business benefits and ROI. Ensure best practices are shared across the market to drive efficiencies at all levels.
Potentially partner with hyperscalers and ISVs to extend go‑to‑market and sales efforts.
Assist specialist sales teams in identifying, nurturing and closing large deals.
Track progress of top deals and provide thought leadership and guidance to close these deals.
Unblock any internal/external issues to close deals, identify risks on an ongoing basis and collaborate with internal teams to resolve concerns.
Strictly adhere to the published NOKIA SELL and CNS processes.
Represent NOKIA in a professional and ethical manner.
Travel to attend sales meetings and related business activities (up to 3–4 days per week).
Key Skills And Experience
15–18 years of proven sales experience in a software technology company selling to communications industry service providers; experience selling solutions to CSPs and enterprises is a must.
Understanding of communications software, with prior experience positioning and selling solutions.
Ability to build trusted customer CxO relationships.
Solid business acumen with an understanding of complex business matters and customer needs.
Ability to understand the technical value proposition and translate it into a business value position (consultative sales approach).
Ability to bring cross‑functional teams together to support selling and revenue realization efforts.
Demonstrate ability to close large and complex deals >2 M €.
Experience managing at least >50 M € of annual target (quota) with a documented track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
Creative ‘out of the box’ thinker with excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
