Harper Recruitment Group are working with a leading technology provider to recruit a Sales Director to accelerate SaaS adoption across the UK Public Sector. This role is ideal for an ambitious sales professional with experience managing complex government accounts and delivering transformative cloud solutions.
As the Sales Director, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth within Public Sector accounts. You will focus on building strong relationships with senior stakeholders, navigating intricate procurement processes, and positioning cloud-based solutions that enable digital transformation across government organisations. This is an individual contributor role with high visibility and impact.
What will the role involve?
Deliver and exceed revenue targets for SaaS solutions across Public Sector clients
Create and implement account strategies to expand presence across central government, local authorities, NHS, and other public bodies
Lead the end-to-end enterprise sales process including prospecting, qualification, presenting solutions, negotiating and closing deals
Engage with senior decision makers to influence technology adoption and support digital transformation initiatives
Collaborate with internal teams, including solutions engineering, customer success, and legal, to produce proposals and ensure smooth onboarding
Keep up to date with Public Sector priorities such as cloud-first initiatives, cybersecurity, and service modernisation
Represent the organisation at industry events and forums to strengthen market presence and pipeline
Who are we looking for?
Demonstrated success selling SaaS or cloud solutions to UK Public Sector organisations
Strong knowledge of government procurement frameworks (e.g., G-Cloud, CCS) and compliance processes
Experience managing long, complex sales cycles and closing high-value, multi-year agreements
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence executives
Self-driven and capable of working independently while collaborating across teams
Understanding of cloud transformation and public sector digital strategies advantageous
Awareness of government security, compliance, and data sovereignty requirements
