We also manage the operation of the network, identify ways of reducing delays, and improve journey time reliability.
Our 600+ staff use a range of desktop and mobile IT applications – Agile Assets, Unity, KOREC, Inform, Esri, Power BI – backed by Microsoft SQL and Oracle databases.
These systems support incident response, inventory management, inspections, maintenance activities, in‑depth data analysis, and intervention planning.
CPS also trials and implements new technology on the network.
What you'll be doing
Set up, maintain, and run test suites for browser and app‑based applications
Establish a range of testing capabilities, including unit testing, integration testing, UAT, and potentially test automation
Manage and track bugs / issues
Contribute to the requirements and design stages of projects, bringing testing knowledge and planning to the process
Collaborate closely with project team members and stakeholders, building effective relationships

Who we're looking for
At least two years’ experience in software testing, including unit testing, integration testing, UAT and potentially automated testing
An understanding of spatial data and linear referencing systems / models
Ability to trace data flows through client‑server systems and diagnose issues
Excellent interpersonal and team working skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Highly organised and with attention to detail
Strong numeracy and analytical skills
Flexible, motivated and able to persevere in challenging situations
MS Office (Word, Excel)
