The
NOC Supervisor
is responsible for the managing of the day-to-day Network Operations Center (NOC) functions, to include scheduling and coordinating daily workload and ensuring that the networking system runs efficiently without interruption.

RESPONSIBILITIES
:

  • Supervise daily work of NOC Engineers to ensure 24/7/365 operations.
  • Provide leadership and technical guidance on network outages and escalations.
  • Oversee development and implementation of automated monitoring and diagnostic tools.
  • Manage the WIRE (Service Now) ticketing system, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing training and development to NOC staff.
  • Monitor network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, ELK) for real-time visibility and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve customer-impacting issues.
  • Identify deficiencies in tools, processes, and procedures and propose improvements.
  • Lead multiple projects while prioritizing competing demands.
  • Ensure that all newly onboarded properties have their associated network devices correctly added to the monitoring systems.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • BA and/or BS with technology concentration, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years in network administration (WAN/LAN) or NOC operations.
  • 5 years troubleshooting within a cable provider or telecom network environment.
  • Industry certifications: Network+, CCNA, CCNP, CCDP.
  • Experience with routing, switching and optical protocols (OSPF, BGP, STP, MPLS, Multicast).
  • Familiarity with voice environments (e.g., Adtran, PBX).
  • Fundamental understanding of OSI model.
  • Experience with monitoring tools (SolarWinds, ELK, Netflow).
  • Experience with Cisco, Motorola, Harmonics, Nokia equipment.
  • High availability environment experience (99.99% SLA).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Optical platform configuration and troubleshooting experience.
  • Scripting skills (Python, SQL, PHP, BASH).
  • Vendor certifications (Motorola, Nokia, etc.).
  • Experience with third-party circuit providers.
