À propos

In this role you will perform advanced and complex customer support activities involving the service, installation, modification and repair of potable and non-potable water treatment equipment in the cruise ship industry.  You will serve as the on-site customer contact on technical and service related problems, traveling to the west coast, Alaska, Australia, at times Italy, Barcelona, Athens, and Japan, and other exotic locations to perform chemistry and PH analysis on water treatment systems on the ships while they are in ports.  You will also train on-board staff to ensure proper working equipment during the cruise.

They have 2 seasons, the Caribbean season from September to May and the Alaska and Europe season from May to September.  You will travel approximately 8-14 days a month, most months, a little more during their busy season from May to September.  You will have a company credit card and book your own travel, keeping the points for your personal use, but you must learn or know how to travel smartly. You will also receive a per-diem, the amount varies based on the port you are in.

They will train you on potable water systems but they need people with strong mechanical maintenance skills who understand tools, can work independently as you will not be micro-managed but will be expected to perform at a high level.  You will need to be able to work under minimal supervision to conduct pre-installation site surveys, perform on-site installation, preventative maintenance, service and repair to these systems.  Most service calls take on average 4 hours, at times you may have a few in one day but much of your time in location will be yours.  Out of the days you are away, you will have one day off, and as long as you are up to date on your paperwork, you will have it to yourself.

When not traveling, you will mostly be working in Fort Lauderdale reporting to their shop each day, performing maintenance and other duties.
