Duties and Responsibilities:
- Main responsibility will be to assist the Building Department with administrative duties:
- Booking Building Inspections
- Input data for processing building permits
- Filing
- Directing telephone calls to appropriate staff
- Responds to staff and public inquiries
- Other related duties associated with Building & Zoning
- Issue and track water exemption permits for the Engineering Department
- Replace vacationing clerical staff
- Minimum grade 12 and must be enrolled in a post-secondary school
- Proficient computer knowledge and skills
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and meet deadlines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Usual Public Office Conditions; subject to frequent telephone and staff interruptions
- Regular office hours, 35 hours per week Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm
