*DEFINITION:*
Provide consultation to staff and families to support remediation of occupational performance deficits. Coordination of the occupational therapy program; including screening, development and sensory-motor evaluations, develop occupational therapy treatment plans for rehabilitative care, therapeutic intervention, transition planning, exit planning, to support students with motor deficits in educational setting in order to perform daily life activities or participation in necessary or desired occupations. Direct supervision of occupational therapy assistants as necessary.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
 Provide individual treatment to correct specific areas related to occupational performance deficits.
 Provide consultation to staff and families to support remediation of occupational performance deficits;
 Attends meetings to coordinate occupational therapy goals with the total educational program as appropriate.
 Provide direction, training and assistance to staff.
 Conduct in-service or other training programs as appropriate.
 Prepare written reports.
 Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
KNOWLEDGE OF:
 Principles and methods of occupational therapeutic techniques.
 Theory of physical and mental rehabilitation underlying the practices of occupational therapy.
 Objectives of occupational therapy treatment and services.
 Skeletal anatomy, neuromuscular function and dysfunction.
 Kinesiology and occupational therapy modalities.
 Principles of consultation, training and supervision as it relates to education.
ABILITY TO:
 Identify and analyze areas of development and sensory-motor dysfunction.
 Develop and carry out treatment plans, goals and objectives to correct sensory-motor dysfunction.
 Provide consultation for classroom and home management of motor, sensory, perceptual and self-care programs.
 Explain and provide training on occupational therapy and rehabilitative principles.
 Provide direction to assigned staff.

 Speak and write effectively.
 Maintain records and prepare reports.
 Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted during the course of work.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Successfully completed and graduated from an accredited occupational therapy professional program recognized by NBCOT and verified by Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE). Must have completed all fieldwork requirements and possess a master’s degree. Two years of experience as an occupational therapist, preferably in school system or other pediatric practice setting.
LICENSES:
Possession of a certificate of registration with the National Registry of the American Occupational Therapy Association or eligibility for such registration.
Possession of an appropriate California operator’s license issued by the California Board of Occupational Therapy.
Must have a valid California driver’s license

Indoor environment.
May be required to drive as needed.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Work Year: Eleven (11) Months
Salary: Classified Management Salary Schedule – Range III

Pay: $119,709.00 - $149,637.00 per year
