This driver will transport, remove, deliver, and collect various liquid and solid hazardous wastes from various customer sites. Will be required to load and unload trucks. They will also have the ability to operate a variety of truck and equipment including vacuum trucks, box trucks, and any other equipment that fits their license on site if necessary.

A "Day in the Life" of a Class 3 Operator:

  • Complete daily schedule of assignments to pick up and transport waste from customers

  • Complete local deliveries

  • Load and offload products and waste as required

  • Complete documentation accurately including manifests, log books and bills of lading

  • Document dangerous goods in compliance with TDG regulations

  • Conduct sampling

  • Work within the guidelines of Transport Canada Regulations

  • Train on unfamiliar processes and equipment, within established guidelines

  • Conduct proper segregation of waste to ensure quality of commodity and to minimize processing costs

  • Coordinate maintenance of assigned vehicles and equipment

  • Follow Environment, Health and Safety policies, procedures, and all environmental protocols and requirements

  • Actively participate in safety meetings, identify and report all incidents and participate in investigations as necessary

  • Demonstrate an understanding of internal and external customer requirements and provide high quality service

  • Operating a Class 3 Box Truck

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Class 3 driver's license

  • Minimum 1 year operating semi-truck with van trailer. 

  • Knowledge of TDG, WHMIS, and DOT Regulations

  • Ability to complete BOLs and Waste Movement documents as compliant with TDG Regulations

  • Demonstrated physical ability to work, including but not limited to, length sitting, climbing, lifting and pulling.

  • Pre-Employment and regular site access drug and alcohol testing required
