The Sales Director (SD) role is a combination of sales activities and team management. Reporting to the Director, Sales UK, you’ll be responsible for growing and training a team of StackAdapters. The SD is the direct manager for a team of 8 Sales Managers, working in tandem with the VP of Sales, EMEA and Director, Sales UK to grow StackAdapt’s UK presence and revenue.
The SD will operate as a player‑coach, working with individual Sales Managers to close and grow mid‑market accounts. A successful SD must have a clear understanding of the programmatic media landscape in order to effectively lead a sales team and sell StackAdapt’s solution. The SD must be able to motivate their team to work towards quotas in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.

What You’ll Be Doing
Hire, train, and mentor a team of Sales Managers to sell into the UK market
Manage and lead a team of 8 Sales Managers
Hold 1:1 weekly meetings with Sales Managers to upskill, coach and mentor as needed
Pitch potential clients on StackAdapt, alongside the Sales Manager team both in‑person and virtually
Leverage sales enablement and operations tools (e.g., Gong, Salesforce, Sales Navigator) to uncover actionable insights that improve team performance
Travel with Sales Managers to support them in growing their existing business and closing new business from agencies and brands
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams as needed to improve processes and provide feedback that contributes to the overall success of the business
What You’ll Bring to the Table
5+ years experience as an AE at a similar organization followed by 3+ years of experience as a people manager
Excellent understanding of digital advertising and marketing, agency/brand media buying process, and the competitive landscape within the digital advertising ecosystem
Proven experience in leading and executing change management initiatives, including adoption of new sales strategies, technologies, and processes, while effectively managing stakeholder expectations and ensuring minimal disruption to sales performance
Successful track record selling into agencies and brands as an individual contributor at a DSP (or other ad platform)
Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor individuals and teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development to achieve personal and organizational goals
Strong understanding of sales metrics and effective sales operating rhythms
Strong client‑relation skills as the SD is often the first point of escalation on many client discussions
Experience selling to client and agency executives
Strong commercial and negotiation skills
Proven cross‑functional track record working alongside client service counterparts and surfacing client/prospect specific needs to the organization
Training in recognised sales methodology (MEDICC, Challenger Sales)
