Position Overview

We are seeking a Jewelry CAD Designer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transforming jewelry concepts into detailed 2D and 3D models for production. This role requires a blend of creativity, technical precision, and an understanding of jewelry structure and materials. The position offers flexibility to work remotely or in a hybrid arrangement within the Greater Toronto Area.

Employment Type: Part-Time (Potential for Contract or Full-Time Employment Based on Performance)

Key Responsibilities


• Develop accurate 2D and 3D CAD designs for various jewelry products, including rings, earrings, necklaces, and bracelets.


• Collaborate with the design and production teams to refine and finalize models.


• Ensure CAD drawings meet manufacturing standards and quality requirements.


• Prepare design files for 3D printing, casting, and prototyping.


• Revise and update existing models as needed.


• Maintain organized digital records of all CAD work.

Qualifications


• Diploma or degree in Jewelry Design, Product Design, Mechanical Design, or a related field.


• Proficiency in Rhino, MatrixGold, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software.


• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawing.


• Understanding of jewelry manufacturing processes, metals, and gemstones.


• Ability to work independently and manage project deadlines.


• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Assets (Nice to Have)


• Experience in 3D printing, rendering, or prototyping tools (e.g., KeyShot, Blender).


• Previous experience working in a jewelry manufacturing or retail company.


• Familiarity with casting, setting, and finishing techniques.
