This position is for a staff pharmacist in a Tribal outpatient clinic pharmacy setting. The pharmacy serves both Federally recognized American-Indian and Alaskan Natives, as well as non-Tribal employees and community members. While this position is for a staff pharmacist, there is opportunity to develop and expand individual pharmacist professional goals.
This position is eligible for HRSA loan repayment. The pharmacy is open 8am to 5pm, Monday thru Friday. No nights or weekends. 14 holidays off. No drive thru.
*Responsibilities:*
- Dispense prescription medications to patients and provide medication counseling
- Review and interpret physician orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medication therapy
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor patient medication regimens for potential drug interactions or adverse effects
- Provide drug information to healthcare professionals and patients
- Maintain accurate and complete patient medication records
- Provide comprehensive medication and diabetic device education and training
- Assist with maintaining dual pharmacy inventory
- Assist with training of new staff and working with pharmacy students
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards
*Minimum Qualifications:*
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited program or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS Pharmacy)
- Licensed pharmacist in the state of Wisconsin
- Maintain CPR certification
-Must be able to comply with Ho-Chunk Nation Drug and Alcohol Policy
- Proficient in using pharmacy software systems and technology
- Display a caring attitude towards patients and colleagues in all aspects of job responsibilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
