Associate Director – Design-led Architecture Practice, London A leading design-focused architecture studio is seeking an experienced Associate Director to join its growing London team. Known for its socially driven, design‑led approach, the practice delivers thoughtful and sustainable architecture that shapes communities and enhances everyday life. This is an exceptional opportunity for a senior architect ready to take a strategic and creative leadership role within one of London’s most respected studios.
As
Associate Director , you’ll play a central role in both the creative and commercial growth of the practice — leading major architectural projects while contributing to business development, team leadership, and client engagement. You’ll join a collaborative leadership group that values initiative, innovation, and meaningful design with social impact.
The Role
Lead project teams on complex architectural commissions from concept to completion
Champion design quality and ensure delivery of outstanding, buildable architecture
Drive business development and strengthen relationships with clients and partners
Contribute to the practice’s strategic direction, mentoring junior and senior architects
Represent the studio externally, promoting its vision and values within the industry
About You
Qualified architect with around
15 years’ experience
and a strong design portfolio
Proven leadership on major commercial, mixed‑use, or regeneration projects
Track record in
business development
and building lasting client networks
Passionate about
sustainability, design quality, and social value
Confident in leading and inspiring multidisciplinary teams
Excellent communication and presentation skills with a professional, collaborative approach
Proficient in
Revit
(MicroStation experience advantageous)
Based in
London , with flexibility for hybrid working
