Be part of a committed and energetic team with a strong reputation in the commercial landscape industry Work on a variety of impactful projects involving plantings, irrigation systems, and hardscape installations Grow your career with a supportive leadership team and meaningful opportunities Competitive benefits including 401k, profit sharing, healthcare, and paid time off Qualifications • Estimating/Construction Knowledge • Possess excellent written and oral skills • Ability to read plans, specifications, and related documents and analyze information • Knowledge of Plants, Irrigation, and Hardscape • Associate or Bachelor Degree in related field preferably a Landscape Architect • Proficient in AUTOCAD • 2–5 years of experience in construction estimating Personal Attributes • Must be a good communicator, persistent, persevering and possess a strong work ethic • Outgoing, with good people skills, able to network and be personable • Steady, consistent and dependable behavior • Self-starter • Opportunistic thinker with a hunter mentality • Action and results oriented, a can-do demeanor • Punctual and energetic • Maintains high professional standards for neatness, accuracy, discipline, self-control and organization Preferred Skills • Proficient with MS Office, Adobe PDF • Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD • Knowledge of Large Format Plotting of Construction Plans • Ability to multitask and problem solve • Ability to meet strict deadlines • Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment (Deadlines, fluctuations in workload) • Strong attention to detail • Ability to function effectively under stringent deadlines and resolve problems under pressure • Team work • Time Management • Organizational skills Responsibilities • Gather scope of work, plans, specifications, and related documents to get a complete understanding of project • Identifies material requirements • Acquires proposals from subcontractors in required trades • Resolves discrepancies • Timely completion of estimates • Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information • Prepare review and evaluation of cost estimates for CEO approval • Maintains cost data • Contributes to team effort • Prepare quantity takeoffs • Attend client meetings and project walk-through, visit job sites, and keep a record of all verbal information disseminated by the client • Present proposals • Follow-up once proposals are submitted and provide feedback to management • Close the sale on proposed work
