You will ideally have a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, or Civil Engineering or industry experience if coming from a hands-on/construction pathway. CEng, IEng registration or working towards registration would be beneficial. You will have experience as either an Overhead Line Design Engineer or similar role working on various Transmission and Distribution projects. Preferably you would have worked for either a Design Consultant, Design/Build Contractor, or an Asset Owner in your experience to date. You will have experience in using PLS-CADD to carry out both new OHL designs and modifications to existing designs. You will have experience of working with projects requiring UK design requirements. For this role, it would be beneficial if you bring a strong understanding of complementary T&D disciplines to OHL Design – for example, an understanding/experience of HV Plant design or HV Cable design or T&D Civil design. The ideal candidate will possess a broad background with a specialism in OHL to be treated as beneficial. Experience of developing OHL deliverables as well as managing OHL delivery and workload across multiple projects. Finally, you will be a team player with a passion for innovation and client service, with ambitions to tackle a range of engineering challenges as our teams look to continue its growth in the sector.
