Building Mechanical Technician

We're looking for a building mechanical technician to join our project team at the Pratt & Whitney Canada Facility in Longueuil. We have a multidisciplinary team there with about 35 resources onsite including structural, electrical and mechanical engineering as well a interior design and construction management

Your Main Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems in accordance with applicable codes and standards (e.g., NBC, ASHRAE, NFPA).
• Prepare technical drawings and specifications using software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
• Perform heating and cooling load calculations, as well as hydraulic sizing.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure proper project coordination.
• Provide technical support and follow-up throughout the various phases of the project.
• Participate in site visits, field surveys, and inspections as required.

Your Profile

• College degree diploma in mechanical engineering or building engineering.
• Be registered as a member of L'ordre des technologues du Québec, an asset.
• Must have at least 3 years of experience in consulting engineering or a related field with HVAC and plumbing design.
• Fully proficient in French, both written and spoken.
• Comfortable working with the Microsoft Office 365 suite and with the AutoDesk suite (REVIT and AutoCad).
