IT Infrastructure & Security Engineer/Architect

For our HQ in Lamone (CH) we are seeking for an experienced IT Infrastructure & Security Engineer/Architect. Depending on the candidate's expertise, the role may emphasize IT architecture to varying degrees. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining our organization's IT infrastructure and in charge of L3/L4 systems and network support.
This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and effective communication skills to ensure the stability, scalability, and security of our IT environment.

An insight to the role

• L3/L4 systems and network support
• Implement and support redundant hyper convergent hosts and orchestrate the subsequent AWS EC2 instances migration
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive IT infrastructure that aligns with the IT roadmap and industry best practices
• Design scalable and robust IT systems, virtualization solutions, servers, networks, storage
• Define and implement security policies, procedures, and standards to safeguard the organization's data and information assets
• Architect and implement cloud-based solutions on AWS ensuring seamless integration with on-premises infrastructure
• Architect and implement a backup infrastructure (and policy) between premise and cloud using Veeam technology
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and security threats to recommend and implement innovative solutions
• Develop and maintain incident response and disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of security incidents or system failures
• Conduct regular drills and tests to validate the effectiveness of these plans
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into IT infrastructure and security solutions
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner

Key success factors

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• At least 8 years of proven experience in supporting and implementing IT infrastructure and security solutions, with IT Architect experience being a plus.
• Industry certifications such as VMware VCP, CCSP or other ISC2, TOGAF
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, systems architecture, and security principles
• Expertise with AWS cloud platform
• Expertise in storage solutions NAS/DAS/SAN
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• English is a must (at least B2), Italian is a plus
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
