*About the Clinic*
We are a comprehensive outpatient Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) providing integrated family medicine and substance use disorder (SUD) services in Albuquerque, NM.
Our mission is to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals experiencing opioid, alcohol, and polysubstance use disorders, alongside chronic medical and behavioral health conditions.
Our multidisciplinary team includes physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, counselors, and behavioral health specialists, all working collaboratively to support long-term recovery and wellness.
*Position Summary*
We are seeking a dedicated *Advanced Practice Provider (ARNP, PA, or Pharmacist Clinician)* to provide family medicine and addiction medicine services.
This role involves prescribing and managing Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) as well as treatments for alcohol and other substance use disorders, interpreting ECGs, managing comorbidities, and collaborating with behavioral health and medical teams.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Conduct comprehensive medical assessments, including histories, physical exams, and diagnostic testing (labs, ECGs, imaging).
* Prescribe and manage medications for opioid, alcohol, and polysubstance use disorders, including buprenorphine, methadone, naltrexone, acamprosate, and other evidence-based therapies.
* Provide primary care and disease management, addressing comorbidities common in SUD populations.
* Order and interpret ECGs and laboratory results; monitor response to treatment and adjust care plans as needed.
* Deliver patient education on medications, harm reduction, and relapse prevention.
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team (medical, pharmacy, behavioral health, and counseling).
* Ensure compliance with DEA, SAMHSA, and state OTP/MOUD regulations.
* Participate in case reviews, staff meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
*Qualifications*
* Licensed *Nurse Practitioner (ARNP), Physician Assistant (PA), or Pharmacist Clinician (PhC)* in *New Mexico*.
* Active or eligible *DEA license* with authority to prescribe controlled substances.
* Experience in *primary care, addiction medicine, or behavioral health* preferred.
* Skilled in ordering and interpreting *ECGs*.
* Knowledge of *evidence-based pharmacologic treatments* for opioid, alcohol, and polysubstance use disorders.
* Strong teamwork and communication skills;
* Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
* Compassionate, trauma-informed approach to care.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
