Product Development Specialist

The mission of the Product Development Specialist at Cozey

Reporting to Stéphanie Poliquin, Product Development Manager, the mission of the Product Development Specialist is to bring innovative furniture designs to life by guiding products from concept to market. This detail-oriented and hands-on role requires a high standard of excellence, balancing meticulous attention to detail with practical execution. Thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, the Product Development Specialist supports projects end-to-end, from evaluating prototypes and materials to refining assembly instructions, ensuring every product meets Cozey's commitment to quality and innovation.

What you'll be doing

• Facilitate collaboration between design, operations, marketing, and customer support to ensure timely and coordinated product launches.   
• Oversee prototype development by supporting reviews, and ensuring prototypes meet design specifications and quality standards.   
• Evaluate materials and finishes. 
• Coordinate and review the development of packaging, swatch booklet, and Assembly Guides, including instruction photoshoots step-by-step assembly procedures.   
• Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date internal documentation.   
• Provide on-site support as needed, such as unpackaging, packaging, and maintaining an organized workspace.   

We'd love to hear from you if you have

• 4 to 7 years of product development experience in furniture or a comparable industry with transferable skills. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.   
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage details effectively.   
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.   
• Knowledge of the product development lifecycle, including prototype development and testing.   
• A degree or certification in a related field (preferred, but not required).
