Job Title: Domestic Support Worker (Casual)
Job Type: Casual (4 hours per week)
Schedule: Flexible days 

About Us:
The Saskatchewan Foster Families Association (SFFA) is committed to supporting foster families and creating nurturing environments for children and youth in care across the province. We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Domestic Support Worker to assist with housekeeping and organization within a foster home. This is a Casual position with potential for additional hours in the future.

Position Overview:
As a Domestic Support Worker, you will play an integral role in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe home environment. You will be responsible for performing various housekeeping tasks, ensuring that all areas of the home are well-maintained and organized. The ideal candidate will have strong time management skills, be able to work independently, and take pride in keeping the home clean and orderly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors throughout the home.
  • Manage kitchen duties, including sanitizing countertops, cupboards, tables, and chairs, and organizing within cupboards, pantry, and refrigerator.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen appliances, such as cooking ranges, dishwashers, and microwaves.
  • Empty waste bins and garbage cans.
  • Dust living areas, including window blinds and interior windows.
  • Sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, tubs, showers, mirrors, and sinks.
  • Sanitize common surfaces throughout the home, including door handles, baseboards, and walls.
  • Wash, fold, and put away laundry.
  • Accurately document tasks completed.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Criminal Record Check (inclusive of Vulnerable Sector Check).
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures and practices.
  • Ability to read and follow instructions.
  • Understanding of safety practices when using cleaning agents.
  • Previous job experience in house cleaning, commercial property cleaning, or hotel cleaning is preferred.
