We're looking for a Senior Analyst, Capital Operations. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the strategic implementation of risk management initiatives within the Capital Operations portfolio. You will lead efforts in portfolio analysis, quality assurance, and strategic reporting to ensure data-driven decision-making and operational excellence. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity, performance, and efficiency of the capital risk portfolio while providing actionable insights to senior leadership.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead strategic initiatives and analysis related to the Capital Operations risk portfolio to identify performance trends and areas of improvement.
- Develop and maintain quality assurance frameworks to enhance risk control processes and ensure adherence to company policies.
- Design, implement, and optimize reporting tools to monitor portfolio performance, operational efficiency, and key metrics.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses on portfolio data to provide strategic recommendations for senior management decision-making.
- Prepare and deliver recurring presentations on the state of the portfolio, including performance summaries, trend analysis, and risk exposure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Risk, Underwriting and Operations, to enhance data integrity and reporting accuracy.
- Evaluate existing controls and recommend process improvements to strengthen operational performance and minimize risks.
- Support root cause analysis of operational losses and risk events to prevent recurrence and improve control frameworks.
- Own and streamline daily operational task
What you need to bring:
- 3-5 years experience in financial services;
- Ability to interpret, analyze and apply data/information;
- Working knowledge of fraud industry and banking operations;
- Good awareness of Operational risk and fundamental risk concepts;
- Understanding of capital markets key risks, processes and controls;
- Documenting rules, policies and procedures;
- Conducting training sessions for direct team members and the wider organisation;
- SOX Compliance knowledge and experience;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, French is a strong asset. As a global company with employees and clients outside of Quebec, fluency in English as a working language is required for this position.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, business acumen, and report writing skills;
- Ability to present information as needed in an appropriate and professional manner;
