Overview

The Journeyman Refrigeration Technician will work in partnership with the Location team to Repair, and complete Preventative Maintenance on New and Used Beverage Equipment at the Brampton Pepsi Equipment Services Shop.

The role will contribute to the sustainable success and growth of PepsiCo by ensuring all applicable equipment platforms including Vending Machines, Coolers, Fountain, Ice Machines, Frozen Beverage, Coffee/Tea, and others are fully operational as per company standards. This position will be expected to process, problem solve, troubleshoot, and ultimately repair all equipment concerns.

Responsibilities
  • Working alone with minimal supervision troubleshooting and performing repair work on soft drink dispensing equipment including vending machines, coolers, and fountain equipment within a designated geography.
  • Demonstrate Competency in using and maintaining small appliance tools and specialized testing equipment, re: Electrical meters and refrigeration diagnostic tools.
  • Accurate completion of invoices, settlement sheets and related paperwork, through hand-held computers and/or a manual paper process.
  • Maintain Parts and Equipment Inventory through regular scheduled Counts and Audits
  • Maintain accurate records of refrigerant and other controlled goods as per provincial regulations
  • Apprentice new technicians
Qualifications
  • HVAC License
  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated mechanical and technical aptitude.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting aptitude.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Required to pass assigned "Pepsi Pro" Modules during probationary period.
  • Valid Class G license required with a clean abstract.
  • Physically capable of carrying out all required duties.
