À propos

Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.

Key Responsibilities

In your capacity as a Fault Management Engineer, your role will be continuously evolving, but day to day your duties will include:

  1. Oversee the fault management and autonomy architectures including design principles and requirements.
  2. Execute the development, implementation, and verification of the spacecraft’s fault management and autonomy design.
  3. Perform cross-disciplinary analyses at the spacecraft's system level spanning multiple subsystems and elements.
  4. Design, implement, and integrate fault detection, isolation, and recovery (FDIR) features by collaborating with the responsible subsystems.
  5. Develop nominal autonomous and automated functions and features to aid critical operations, including proximity and docking operations.
  6. Identify, assess, and provide mitigation strategies for risks related to fault management and autonomy design and integration.
  7. Prepare detailed technical documentation, including analysis reports, design notes, and test plans. Present findings and progress to stakeholders.
  8. Contribute to the technical tasks supporting the systems engineering team and the program.
  9. Stay updated with the latest advancements in fault management and autonomy in the space industry and incorporate best practices into our systems.
