The role is based in our FC location in Coudray-Montceaux, France.

In order to supply our customers across Europe quickly and in accordance with our quality standards, our European distribution centers / Fulfillment Centers (FCs) are an integral part of the zooplus network.

The zooplus fulfillment network of currently 10 Fulfillment Centers (FCs) all over Europe is run by Logistics Service Providers (LSPs). In this function, the manager understands the FC as a holistic process that begins with inbound shipments management and ends with deliveries meeting the satisfaction of the customer at his doorstep. The FC Manager will manage our two sites in Madrid & Antwerp, but will be based in our FC location in Coudray-Montceaux (Orly), France. With the on-site team at multiple outsourced FCs, the daily tasks and challenges include ensuring the highest customer service, quality, punctuality, efficiency and cost optimization enabled by collaboration with our service partners. A constantly high level of process stability and transparency on production together with a continuous improvement mind-set is key for success.

  • Manage relationship and act as a liaison between logistics service provider and zooplus
  • Monitoring and manage supplier performance, KPIs and supplier reports and leading corrective actions
  • Conducting weekly business reviews and GEMBA walks including the follow-up of identified issues
  • Analyzing service levels and cost
  • Drive Continuous improvement of warehouse processes in collaboration with the logistics service providers
  • Support and lead projects related to operations linked to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction
  • Close cooperation with headquarter and cross-functional teams across Europe
  • Drive zooplus quality expectations and standards together with our external Logistics-Service-Provider
  • Controlling and improving material flow processes proactively and reacting in a timely manner for issue resolution
  • Responsible for inventory levels of consumables, optimize usage and monitor delivery timeliness
  • Help to drive the strategic development of the Fulfillment Team
  • Collaborate with service provider and Engineering team to investigate further capacity increase projects
  • Contributing to monthly and quarterly business reviews
  • End-to-end responsibility as Subject-Matter Expert for FC network related processes:
    • Develop process standards and implement them, request and support design metrics, KPIs, tools and dashboards;
    • Train other FC managers on the processes;
    • Lead processes related to regular metrics reviews and benchmarking with all FC managers
  • Taking over the responsibility for more than one FC
  • Direct reporting to the Regional Manager Fulfillment

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 5 years working experience in 3rd party logistics on provider and/or customer side (e-commerce/ B2C preferred) or experience leading as site leader of a warehouse
  • Analytical, process oriented and data driven Excel proficient
  • Knowledge of logistical and administrative processes and systems
  • Hands on mentality and willingness to take on ownership
  • High mobility, willing to travel (25-30%) and drivers license holder
  • Self starter and result-oriented work attitude
  • Excellent in English language spoken & written; French preferable
  • Strong in the areas of planning and organizing and good knowledge from the standard MS Office programs
  • Profound methodological competence in the areas of process and material flow analysis respectively intralogistics
  • Experience in leading medium complex to complex role related projects
  • Sound understanding of e-commerce fulfillment processes and technical requirements
