*Position Overview:*
Keys Animal ER at Cruz Animal Hospital is seeking a caring and dependable Veterinary Technician or Assistant to join our team. In this role, you’ll work alongside our veterinarians and experienced technicians to provide high-quality care to our patients and excellent service to our clients. *Responsibilities:*
* Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures.
* Prepare patients and equipment for surgery or diagnostic testing.
* Administer medications and treatments as directed.
* Perform basic lab work such as running bloodwork, fecals, and urinalysis.
* Handle animals safely and compassionately during restraint, exams, and procedures.
* Maintain clean, organized, and stocked treatment areas.
* Communicate clearly and professionally with clients about their pet’s care.
* Support the overall flow of the hospital to ensure efficient patient care.
*Requirements:*
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in a veterinary clinic (technician or assistant role).
* Strong animal handling and restraint skills.
* Familiarity with common veterinary terminology, procedures, and equipment.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to multitask and stay calm in a busy environment.
* Positive, dependable, and compassionate attitude.
*Schedule:*
Full-time daytime position, Monday through Friday with rotating weekends.
