Service Areas: Clinic and Home Health
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, create, and implement individualized physical therapy programs to improve or restore physical function, alleviate pain, and prevent physical dysfunction in pediatric patients.
- Write and maintain thorough documentation, including evaluations, daily notes, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Engage and educate parents and caregivers on how to best accommodate and care for children.
- Assess the effects of treatment at various stages and adjust interventions to achieve optimal benefits. Assess the patient's environment, including their home or daycare, and determine how to modify it to suit their needs and abilities better.
- Recommend specialized equipment, such as wheelchairs and braces, and provide proper use instructions.
- Collaborate with other professionals to effectively address the patient's needs. Maintain a pediatric caseload, communicate clearly with parents and caregivers, and schedule appointments as needed. Complete and accurately record billing that corresponds to the services provided.
- Must be willing to work a combination of home health and clinic ( exception: Home health only)
Qualifications:
- A Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
- An Arizona Physical Therapy license is mandatory.
- Experience in pediatric settings is preferred but not required; new graduates are welcome to apply.
- A strong passion for working with children and their families is essential.
