*About Emerald Learning Center*
Emerald Learning Center (ELC) is a certified Non-Public Agency and Special Education school serving students with complex behavioral and developmental needs. Our programs integrate Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), trauma-informed care, and individualized education to support each student’s academic, social, and communication growth.
*Position Summary*
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate *Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)* to join our multidisciplinary team. The SLPA will support the implementation of individualized speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative, student-centered environment.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Implement speech and language therapy plans developed by the supervising SLP.
* Support students in developing functional communication skills through individual and group sessions.
* Collect and record accurate data on student progress toward communication goals.
* Prepare therapy materials, visual supports, and communication aids.
* Collaborate with classroom teachers, behavior technicians, and related service providers.
* Assist in maintaining documentation and ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.
* Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives.
*Qualifications*
* Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant studies, Communication Disorders, or related field.
* Current Washington State SLPA credential (or eligible to obtain).
* Experience working with students with autism, developmental disabilities, or behavioral challenges preferred.
* Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $31.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
