Desert Engineering was founded in 1976 and was incorporated in 1991 as an S-Corporation. The business has grown steadily adding machines and skilled operators to become a full service precision machine shop and manufacturing facility, machining and producing products for the military and aerospace industry, as well as the private sector. Desert Engineering is a preferred vendor to a major defense contractor and has achieved AS9100 certification, meeting the specifications and high standards of the aerospace industry.

* Effective Communication skills
* Highly organized
* Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times
* Ability to work autonomously
* Lift objects 20-50lbs
* G-Code Knowledge
* M-Code Knowledge
* Working knowledge of Haas and Doosan are a plus
* Application of machine shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics, and GD&T
* Performs operations per specifications on drawing/print and documented procedures
* Perform and record first piece inspection and fill out in-process inspection sheets
* Deburr parts using machines such as milling, drilling, grinding and other machines as needed
* Experience in reading, interpreting blueprints, routers, work instructions and specifications
* Advanced measurement skills for inspection, including use of CMM, and optical comparator
* Must be willing to perform other functions and duties as assigned by managers and supervisors
