À propos

Description Amazon strives to be the worlds most customer-centric company, where customers can research and purchase anything they might want online or offline. We set big goals and are looking for people who can help us reach and exceed them.

We are also the home of Alexa, a cloud-based intelligent voice assistant, to provide information, answer questions, play music, control your smart home and much more. Alexa is integrated into many of our products and partner products and many thousands of devices work with Alexa.

The Amazon General Intelligence (AGI) Alexa Information team is looking for a UX Researcher to join our design and research team. You will bring customer insights into every phase of the product development process, and improve product experiences across Alexas suite of AI products on devices, mobile and the web. You will be responsible for driving a research strategy and implementing it, possibly inventing some new research techniques and technologies along the way.

Key job responsibilities You will utilize user research, product research, and design research methods and qualitative and quantitative research concepts to create a deep understanding and empathy for our target customers through field research, surveys, personas, lab studies, and other methods (existing or invented) that you identify to be most effective. Work closely with product and design teams to identify research topics, and build a research roadmap; communicate and refresh on a regular basis to ensure relevancy. Create research roadmaps that impact product lifecycles using a variety of appropriate techniques. Identify the best method or mix of methods based on research questions, timeline and resourcing. Develop metrics that appropriately reflect the user experience quality of a feature, product or system. Understand different data types from different sources and perform quick but thorough data analysis in order to create insightful and actionable findings. Work cross-functionally with design, business stakeholders, engineering, and marketing to communicate results and recommendations, and advocate on behalf of our customers.

Basic Qualifications Bachelors degree in HCDE, Experimental Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Human Factors, or similar field; or commensurate experience. 5+ years of hands-on experience leading UX research projects with demonstrated impact. 3+ years of end-to-end experience with all aspects of research (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting). Knowledge of the field of human-computer interaction, experimental design, observational and field methods and data analysis. Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills; the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications MA/MS in experimental psychology, human computer interaction, anthropology, or related discipline. Have an available online portfolio demonstrating samples of deliverables (e.g. study plans, reports) and extraction of actionable insights from qualitative and quantitative data. Experience with research process and research methods (e.g., survey design, personas, remote testing, lab studies, diary studies, concept testing, benchmarking, and other methods). Experience with synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data and leveraging research frameworks. The ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously, and multi-task in an agile environment. AI, voice or multi-modal research experience in a global context. Demonstrated thought-leadership with a passion for translating data into action.
