As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding professionals in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.The Opportunity:We are seeking a seasoned and visionary Senior Director of Biostatistics to lead our Design and Advanced Analytics group. This strategic role involves overseeing innovative trial design, statistical methodology, and advanced analytics to support drug development across all phases. This role will be instrumental in driving cutting-edge statistical approaches, ensuring scientific rigor, and enhancing data-driven decision-making in clinical development. The successful candidate will be instrumental in building and enabling a high-performing biostatistics team dedicated to optimizing study design and maximizing the impact of statistical insights. This role will report directly to the Vice President, Biostatistics.Key Responsibilities:Lead the Design and Advanced Analytics team within Biostatistics, setting the vision and strategy for innovative clinical trial designs and advanced statistical methodologies.Drive the adoption of novel and efficient trial designs to accelerate drug development.Leverage the use of external control arms, advanced analytics, and predictive modeling to enhance decision-making.Partner closely with other subfunctions within development, clinical and medical affairs to align statistical strategies with business objectives.Mentor and develop talent, fostering a culture of statistical excellence and scientific curiosity.Drive knowledge-sharing and training initiatives to enhance statistical capabilities across the organization.Required Skills, Experience and Education:Ph.D. or M.S. in Statistics/Biostatistics, a minimum of 10 years (for Ph.D.) and 15 years (for M.S.) of experience in the biotech/pharma industry as a statistician.Proven track record of leading innovative trial design and advanced analytics initiatives.Experience interacting with regulatory agencies on statistical topics.Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams, drive strategic initiatives, and mentor statistical talent.Strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to biostatistical activities and clinical trials.Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.Good interpersonal and project management skills are essential.Preferred Skills, Experience and Education:Familiarity with machine learning, AI, and real-world evidence applications is a plus.The base salary range for this full-time position is $236,000 to $295,000 for candidates working onsite at our headquarters in Redwood City, CA. The range displayed on each job posting is intended to be the salary for an individual working onsite in Redwood City and will be adjusted for the local market a candidate is based in. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
