The Salesforce Business Analyst (BA) is responsible for leading Salesforce implementation from the initial discovery and requirements analysis through design, configuration, development, technical review, testing, and deployment. This role leads and executes project deliverables that otherwise tend to be owned by roles like solution architect, technical development leads, and business analysts on more traditional projects.

The Salesforce Business Analyst works with a smaller express project team, including a project manager, offshore tech lead, and often partners with a more experienced technical consultant that shares some of the same responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for designing and deploying a full Salesforce solution.
  • Leads discovery workshops with clients, inclusive of process mapping, requirement gathering, and early solution architecture.
  • Defines and documents technical and functional requirements.
  • Translates requirements into user stories in Salesforce CMC platform and uses the platform daily to drive project deliverables.
  • Prioritizes & scopes stories, partnering with the offshore Technical lead to ensure that they are tasked, assigned, and configured on a daily basis.
  • Collaborates with QA to review the development team’s configuration to ensure proper technical quality.
  • Works with offshore technical lead to ensure resolution of any issues; is capable of direct configuration if needed to support timely resolution.
  • Communicates the design/solution to the client from both a technical and functional perspective.
  • Conducts demos of technology throughout the project to ensure the solution is meeting the client requirements.
