MS-SQL Database Engineer

Project: For our customer in Lucerne we are looking for an experienced MS-SQL database engineer (m/f/d) with a focus on scripting for the administration and optimization of SQL databases.

Main tasks:

• Checking and optimizing existing scripts on different servers and DB instances.
• Correction and improvement of suboptimally designed scripts.
• Documentation of all script operations.
• Emergency re-installation of corrupted or invalid scripts.
• Training of team members.

Requirements:

• Several years of experience as a database engineer
• Solid knowledge of SQL Server
• Very good experience in creating script concepts, especially in PowerShell.
• Knowledge of C# and object-oriented languages such as VB.Net is an advantage.
• Ability to work in a team and flexibility.
• Experience in a comparable environment, ideally in the public sector.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as an interface.

Education:

• Training in IT or similar qualification

• German: fluent (oral and written)
