Linux Engineer

Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Production Support Engineer with extensive experience in troubleshooting and migrating RHEL7 to RHEL8. This role involves maintaining and optimizing Linux applications, ensuring smooth operations, and addressing any issues promptly to avoid disruptions.

Main assignments:

• Provide expert support for production issues in a stock exchange environment post-migration from RHEL7 to RHEL8.
• Engineer solutions using bash and other GNU-tools.
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.
• Continuously monitor system health and performance, implementing proactive measures to prevent issues.
• Support the IT Application Manager by implementing and maintaining Ansible playbooks and managing OpenShift environments.

Requirements:

• Strong background in system migrations, especially from RHEL7 to RHEL8.
• Proven experience in Linux/DevOps engineering.
• Extensive knowledge of incident troubleshooting in production environments.
• Proficiency in Ansible, Jenkins, Git, and bash scripting.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Icinga, or similar.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Language:

• English fluency.
• German fluency.
