À propos

We can't predict what the future holds, but we know Texas Instruments will have a part in shaping it.

When you join TI, you will participate in the Career Accelerator Program (CAP), which provides professional and technical training and resources to accelerate your ramp into TI and set you up for long-term career success. Within this program, we also offer function-specific technical training and on-the-job learning opportunities that will encourage you to solve problems through a variety of hands-on, meaningful experiences from your very first day on the job.

This role is open for Zurich, Switzerland.

Upon successful completion of this track in the FAST development program, rotators are welcomed as Field Application Engineer on TI’s worldwide Sales & Applications team.

As a Field Applications Engineer you will:

  • Act as a technical consultant to solve design challenges with the TI portfolio to become a trusted advisor for your customers.
  • Understand the basics of analog circuitry:
    • op-amps
    • DC/DC power
    • data converters
    • sensing
  • Build up specific knowledge in your customers' applications and relevant TI portfolio to make system level proposals to maximize TI's revenue.
  • Create and understand block diagrams based on your customers' applications (examples can be found here: EV charging, Heat Pump, Head-Up Display).
  • Build up relationships with your customers, focusing on the engineering departments.
  • Leverage market knowledge and data insights to discover business and independently develop creative ways to discover new opportunities.

Your start as a Field Application Engineer (FAE) will be through our FAST development program:

TI’s FAST (Field Applications & Sales Training) Development Program is designed to prepare Sales & Applications team members for customer-oriented careers that pair technical skills with business perspectives. The program's goal is to provide hands-on experience in the role of a FAE while offering Training and Mentorship. During the program, you will have access to different departments and you will get insights into the long-term development opportunities at TI.

The track includes two rotations:

  • Rotation 1, Field Sales Office (FSO), 6 months: The FSO rotation is centered on learning how to work directly with customers to solve technical challenges and ultimately maximize TI’s revenue by providing customers with the systems-level solutions that best address their design needs. Among other aspects, the FSO rotation focuses on analyzing technical trade-offs, understanding component selection, and solving design and cost challenges.
  • Rotation 2, Systems Engineering & Marketing (SEM) in Freising, Germany, 5 months: The SEM rotation provides hands-on experiences that help future FAEs understand how various TI components fit together to provide systems-level solutions for customer designs. This rotation typically focuses on technical product selection, schematic/layout capture, PCB layouts, tear downs, board bring up, and validation.

Texas Instruments will not sponsor job applicants for visas or work authorization for this position.
