As a Content Producer you will be responsible for the creation of strategic written content related to Bethany's programs, and program-related strategic plans to share with stakeholders, and/or to include in applications for public funding. This position will be heavily involved with all levels in the organization and its systems.
This position is expected to function effectively with moderate supervision while following the guidelines given on procedures, along with agency, federal, and state regulatory requirements.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Serve as the team specialist about existing and desired content related to Bethany's priority programming;
- Provide subject matter expertise on best practices for grant and program manual content and development;
- Co-design the Business Development Department (BDD) Hub and continuously develop and monitor the content and organization of the BDD Hub;
- Provide critical review and editing of peer documents to ensure alignment with external messaging standards and strategic language;
- Identify and create new documents based on existing gaps or shifting organization priorities;
- Lead project management for the development of written content for BDD Hub and specific funding proposals;
- Develop and revise written content for public funding proposals based on Bethany's upcoming funding opportunities and/or prioritized program types;
- Lead the elaboration of and/or the updating of program manuals and other tools to accelerate Bethany's standardization of programming;
- Support senior legal and development staff on the drafting of internal Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) based upon Cooperative Agreements or contracts received;
- Develop content for program manuals and other tools to accelerate Bethany's standardization of programming;
- Lead the training of colleagues in the use and utility of standardization and other BDD-developed tools;
- Research and speak into analysis on trends related to funding opportunities and program types that align with Bethany's current programming, along with its mission and strategic direction;
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's level degree in English writing, Communications, or related field of study from an accredited college;
- At least five (5) years of experience writing successful proposals for Federal or other public funding opportunities;
- Experience in child/family welfare agency, a plus;
- Experience in refugee and immigrant services or domestic human services is a plus;
- Strong organization, prioritization, time management, and interpersonal skills;
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized, highly necessary for this position;
- Comfortable communicating with all levels, including VPs and SVPs;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Exercise a high level of confidentiality and integrity;
- Ability to work independently;
- Work well under pressure and adaptable to change
- Computer skills sufficient to perform essential functions including knowledge of Microsoft Office suite;
- Must be 21 years old with a valid driver's license with at least 3 years driving experience in the U.S. to operate a vehicle on behalf of Bethany. Must also pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check and maintain a reliable vehicle with proof of adequate insurance coverage;
- Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries;
- Subscription to and integration of the agency Statement of Faith, Mission Statement, and Commitment to Unity.
