Position Summary:

Specialty Pharmacy

Orlando Health Scripts pharmacy serves patients with chronic conditions requiring specialty medications. Our compassionate and knowledgeable staff is dedicated to helping you throughout your therapy journey.

We understand that receiving news of a difficult to understand health condition can be overwhelming, and we want you to know that our team is here to help. Our staff provides continuous therapy education and assistance throughout your treatment, as well as free medication delivery right to your home.

Specialty medications can be costly, so it is important to understand your available options when it comes to needing any additional resources to help with these expenses. The Orlando Health Scripts pharmacy team possesses a wealth of knowledge to help locate copay assistance, grants, or other drug therapy foundations whose sole purpose is to help minimize financial burden.

Our team is here from the start to help navigate any challenges you may encounter throughout your therapy. Our experts are available 24 hours a day/365 day a year and are extensively trained to make sure your medication gets to you accurately and on time.

Position Overview

Ensures proper processing and problem solving of specialty prescriptions, assisting with operational and all distribution responsibilities as they are related to Specialty Technician functions.

Location: 1111 Blackwood Ave, Ocoee, FL 34761

Schedule:Monday – Friday 9am -5:30pm

Responsibilities:

Essential Functions

  • Demonstrates proficiency in prescription processing: read/review prescription orders, evaluate for completeness and ensure

accurate data entry of all drug and ancillary supplies.

  • Accurately assists the pharmacist in all medication distribution from picking, filling, labeling, dispensing in appropriate packaging and

staying compliant with regulatory standards.

  • Demonstrates the ability to operate the equipment required for pharmacy procedures, consistent with operating instructions, safety

regulations and policy and procedures.

  • Utilizes critical thinking and analytical skills in job performance and independently solves problems.
  • Ability to create and maintain providers profile in computer systems for demographics, DEA and NPI numbers.
  • Maintains patient profiles with necessary demographic, allergies, insurance both primary and secondary,
