Business Application Developer

The mission of the department is to drive digital transformation within our Watch & Perfumes Business Units, creating cutting-edge internal applications that support our global operations.

Reporting directly to our Data, Business Intelligence and AI Director, your role is critical in developing and maintaining sophisticated web applications that power our business intelligence and AI initiatives. You will bring technical expertise, creative problem-solving skills, and a passion for luxury and technology.

Accountabilities

• Lead development teams on specific projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to timelines
• Integrate client and server-side components to create comprehensive and responsive user interfaces
• Work within Agile Scrum methodology, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Use version control systems (Git) and collaborate on platforms like DevOps or GitLab
• Optimize application performance and ensure high-quality code through rigorous testing and code reviews
• Stay updated with the latest web development trends and technologies, recommending innovations when appropriate
• Contribute to the department's AI and BI initiatives, connecting data science and web development
• Promote best practices and foster a culture of excellence within the team

Profile

With a strong background in database design and optimization, you are skilled in version control using Git and collaborative development platforms. You have extensive experience with Agile Scrum methodology and project management tools, and a solid understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. You can manage multiple projects simultaneously, including strategic ones involving top management, and handle high workloads with resilience to stress. You excel at prioritizing tasks and dealing with ambiguity.

Familiarity with business intelligence tools and data visualization libraries such as Power BI, as well as experience with AI/ML integration in web applications, are also beneficial. Knowledge of other JS frameworks (React, Angular), PHP frameworks (Symfony), and experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) are considered valuable assets for this position.

Known for your attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills, you are fluent in both French and English, with Italian being an additional advantage.
