Summary:
In the supervisor's absence, ensures that production requirements are met through the management of materials, equipment, and personnel in a safe and efficient manner. Responsibilities include supervision of assigned departments when back-up coverage is necessary. Responsible for problem solving, decision making, work scheduling and providing on-going coaching and feedback to supervised Team Members.
Daily activities include, but are not limited to monitoring on time production, production processes and quality inspections, start and end of work-time and breaks. Monitors all work for quality and timeliness, tracking quality control and production records. Maintains a safe work environment, discipline and morale. Handles emergency situations with employees of assigned areas and other areas as necessary. Trains and develops employees in order to ensure effective production and reporting structure. Works together with Production Manager, Quality Assurance, Production Planning and Production Supervisors for more efficient production; suggests and implements procedural changes and immediately communicates when changes occur. This Position ensures supervisory coverage 24/7 and assists the Production Supervisor during off shifts to monitor the operation and make decisions based on the company priorities. This is not a full time position; it is considered an add-on to his or her normal duties as an Operator, Maintenance Technician, Setup and Operator, Toolmaker or similar jobs.

Supervisory Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and work in a team environment to support business objectives.

- Assists with the screening and interviewing of potential employees and submits recommendations.
- Keeping track and assisting Supervisor with team members' attendance records, work schedules and PTO schedules.
- On a regular basis, Team Leader should be available to answer questions and assist employees when the Supervisor is not available.
- Assigns employees to appropriate work stations, ensures components and materials are available for use and assists employees with assigned duties.
- Plans and coordinates work.

Physical Demands
- Stand, walk or sit for up to 2/3 of time.
- Hands on which includes periodically bending, reaching, kneeling, climbing ladders, moving and lifting heavy objects.
- When operating production equipment: frequent lifting, bending, pushing & pulling.
- Overtime may be required at times.
- Repetition hand movement with computer entries.
Work Environment
- Production environment (non-air-conditioned).
- Metal Manufacturing (loud and noisy).
- The use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, and proper dress and foot attire.
The Pay Range for this position is from $ per hour to $31.50 per hour.
