Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our Transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate heavy equipment. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of service. A minimum of 3 years of safe driving experience, a clean abstract, and a CVOR are required. This is regional work in Ontario and Quebec, and all shifts are overnight hours.

Responsibilities

  • Operate trucks and other heavy equipment to transport freight to designated locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
  • Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on vehicles as needed.

Skills

  • Strong commercial driving skills with a valid AZ Licence.
  • Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols.
  • Basic automotive repair skills to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.

Pay- $.50-$.54 per mile plus Safety Bonus

This position requires "slip seat" trucks. no permanently assigned units.
