Our Sales unit Commodity Solutions is our growing large customer unit. Within our Sales Unit the Commodity Flow desk (CFD) provides wholesale market access to different client sectors. The CFD acts as a professional cross-commodity hub for external counterparties with relevant energy exposures as well as a central interface for other customer services to green up the flow business (e.g. GoOs, EUAs and VERs). To complement the broad skill-set of our team we are looking for a Data Analyst to support the CFD-Business in terms of IT-specific operations.

The role

Development of innovative infrastructure and platform solutions to analyze the customer portfolio.
You run the needed Big data-projects and data analysis (u.a. via Python) in close cooperation with the Frontoffice team.
You support the sales trading by enhancing and maintaining a counterparty Dashboard (via Dash) which is connected to different APIs/ platforms.
Implementation of algorithms to automate different processes.
Preparation and Creation of presentations and commercial analysis.
Collaboration internally along with several Stakeholders (Trading-Desks & Business Support).

Your Profile

You are an enrolled student and are interested in the energy sector and sales tasks.
Excellent programming skills in Python, Tableau & VBA.
You are commercially driven and enthusiastic with advanced programming skills and an entrepreneurial and pro-active mind-set, combined with an ability to build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, in particular with proprietary trading desks.
You have excellent communication skills with the ability to transfer knowledge between analysis and decision makers in other departments with an interdisciplinary approach both in German and English.
You have a high level of self-motivation, creativity and problem solving skills, plus the ability to work in a competitive environment.
