The mission of the Platform Product Group engineers includes building a reliable, scalable, and compliant platform that operates with speed and excellence. Comprising various teams—such as Product Foundations, Machine Learning, Customer Experience, and Infrastructure—we collectively maintain the critical platforms that empower Coinbase. Key Responsibilities
Design and develop distributed systems Collaborate with management and stakeholders to outline strategic roadmaps and provide technical structure to teams Oversee project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables utilizing your technical proficiency Mentor and guide fellow team members on design methodologies and coding practices Create and implement essential infrastructure components utilized by all engineering teams in production, such as dynamic configuration and secrets storage Write high-quality, well-tested code that meets customer needs Qualifications
8+ years of software engineering experience Experience in architecting and developing impactful solutions for ambiguous problems A strong passion for building an inclusive financial system that unites the world Preferred Qualifications
Experience in developing high-reliability financial systems or security systems Familiarity with online fraud prevention systems Experience during rapid organizational growth phases (from a small team to hundreds of engineers) Experience in decomposing large monolithic systems into microservices Proficiency in Golang, Ruby, Docker, Sinatra, Rails, and Postgres Crypto-forward experience, with knowledge of on-chain activities such as Ethereum interactions, using ENS, and engaging with dApps or blockchain services Job #: GPBE06US Answers to crypto-related questions may be used to evaluate your on-chain experience. Pay Transparency Notice: The target annual salary for this role ranges from $218,025 to $256,500 USD. Full-time offers from Coinbase also include a target bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits (including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).
