Video Editor

We are looking for a highly skilled Television/Long-Form Video Editor to assemble recorded footage into a finished project that matches the producer's vision and is suitable for television, and to create promo videos/commercials from scratch for our social media and marketing materials and/or television.

Ultimately, as a video editor, you should be able to bring sight and sound together in order to tell a cohesive and engaging story. The material may include camera footage, dialogue, music, sound effects, graphics and special effects.

Requirements:

• 3+ years proven work experience as a professional video editor
• Experience editing TV programs required
• Experience editing documentary-style programming preferred
• Experience creating promo videos preferred
• Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages including Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects* and Final Cut Pro
• Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
• Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity
• After Effects, 3D and compositing proficiency is required
• Creative mind and storytelling skills
• Graphic design skills
• Must be familiar with various types of software, such as Photoshop, Acrobat, InDesign, and Illustrator
• Must have your own equipment and software, including high speed internet to download/upload large video files remotely
