Powersports Technician

Overview
Roadsport Yard Gear Fredericton Inc. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Powersports Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment to ensure optimal operational performance. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills to contribute to a dynamic and growing organization. The Technician will work closely with other team members to uphold safety standards and improve processes, making it an essential part of our technical operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment
• Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective repair solutions
• Use hand tools and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment components
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used
• Assist in installing new equipment and upgrading existing systems
• Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies during all maintenance activities
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex technical problems promptly
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical manuals and schematics
• Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.
• Experience with power tools, including drills, grinders, and saws is preferred
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills for documenting work performed and collaborating effectively with colleagues
• Prior experience in a Powersports / Small engine repair setting is a plus, but not required
