On‑Site Systems Administrator – Microsoft Intune Specialist

$85,000 – $95,000
Position Overview We are seeking an on‑site Systems Administrator specializing in Microsoft Intune to provide direct support to our NYC workforce. This role emphasizes device lifecycle management, endpoint security, and hands‑on troubleshooting, while ensuring seamless onboarding/offboarding and maintaining high‑quality documentation for IT processes.
Key Responsibilities
Microsoft Intune & Endpoint Management:
Administer Microsoft Intune for Windows, iOS, and Android devices.
Deploy compliance policies, configuration profiles, and application packages.
Manage Windows Autopilot for provisioning new devices and streamlining enrollment.
Security & Compliance:
Implement and manage Microsoft Defender for Endpoint for endpoint protection and threat detection.
Collaborate with security teams on Microsoft Purview (data governance) and Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM monitoring).
Monitor and remediate non‑compliant devices to uphold security best practices.
Provide in‑person technical support for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
Respond to end‑user technology requests via Jira ticketing and email.
Perform onboarding and offboarding sessions for employees, including:
Device setup and Intune enrollment.
Configuration of Outlook, Teams, VPN access, and other Microsoft 365 apps.
Decommissioning and secure data handling for departing staff.
Place vendor service calls and assist telecom technicians when needed.
Lead or support on‑site network/security deployments as required.
Documentation & Communication:
Maintain clear, detailed documentation for processes, SOPs, and troubleshooting steps.
Exhibit strong communication skills, translating technical terms for non‑technical and executive‑level staff.
Prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and SLAs.
Qualifications
Required:
3–5 years’ experience in IT support or systems administration.
Proficiency with Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, and Endpoint Manager.
Hands‑on experience with Defender, Purview, Sentinel, Azure AD, and Office 365.
Working knowledge of Windows Server 2019+, Windows 10/11, and Active Directory.
Understanding of networking protocols (DNS, DHCP, VPN, TCP/IP).
Experience with virtualization (VMware or similar).
Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
Preferred:
Certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or CompTIA A+.
Experience in multi‑site corporate environments.
