Mobile Health Driver Job Responsibilities
Drive all Inova Health System Mobile Health vehicles including large box trucks, mobile units and vans to community screening locations within 60 miles of Washington D.C. Assist the Team Leaders with maintaining drive operations and participate as an integral member of the team. Maintain vehicle records and documents, ensure that all vehicles are in good driving condition to assure safety and continuity of operations. Remain compliant with all Inova Mobile Health units and DMV policies/procedures and assist QA specialists in performing cooler validation. Obey all traffic and safety regulations as evidenced by the annual review of vehicle violations. Park Mobile Health vehicles in a safe location allowing for safe entry and exit of vehicle in accordance with parking regulations. Arrive at centers and community screening locations on time as documented by our time keeping system and Team Leader Summary Report; ensure that vehicle used for the day is fully fueled after use. Prepare and load all supplies/equipment needed for community screening days; ensure equipment is clean and in proper working order; clean, restock, break down and pack Mobile Health equipment and load at end of drive to ensure safe transport; ensure all equipment is accounted for and safely secured in vehicle for transport. Pick up all specimen products from unit when completed and pack in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, current Good Manufacturing Practices and Mobile Health Quality Plans. Clean, visually inspect and return all Mobile screening equipment to proper storage locations in preparation for the next event. Ensure all inspection, maintenance, county stickers and licenses are kept up to date on all vehicles and review annually with Mobile Operations Manager; set up, maintain and break down registration area as directed by Team Leader. Work independently to complete assignments without close supervision; improve inefficiencies and minimize repetitive errors by changing/improving workflow processes; use a logical process to identify the cause of problems and develop appropriate solutions. Select an appropriate method of communication for audiences and adjust communication style when needed. Report safety hazards/violations and take appropriate action to protect the environment and guests until help arrives if necessary. Communicate scheduling changes to patients, staff, physicians and patient representatives in a timely and professional manner. Assist with patient registration as requested. May perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience: 2 years commercial driving experience with a good driving record. Licenses: Valid U.S. Driver's License in good standing & Commercial Drivers License Class A or Class B in good standing upon start.
