Intern in the Field Cybersecurity in Embedded Systems (m/f/d) - summer term 2026

• You support our team in cybersecurity‑related tasks within embedded Linux systems
• You contribute to the analysis and hardening of system services and communication interfaces
• You assist in vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and secure configuration validation
• You participate in developing secure update mechanisms, authentication methods, and logging concepts
• You help document and maintain security measures in compliance with industry standards

• You are an enrolled student of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline
• You have a fundamental understanding of Linux‑based systems and embedded development
• You are familiar with networking concepts (TCP/IP, SSH, HTTPS, etc.) and basic cybersecurity principles
• You have first experience with Python or shell scripting (Bash, PowerShell)
• Knowledge of C/C++, systemd, or Yocto is an advantage
• You can use git with confidence
• You work analytically, think critically, and enjoy approaching technical security questions with creativity
• You appreciate working in an international and interdisciplinary team and are motivated to learn and grow in the field of embedded cybersecurity
