Applications Engineer I - Software , you will leverage your technical expertise to support and implement Hexagon's

ESPRIT CAD/CAM software solutions . Acting as a

technical liaison , you will assist customers in pre-sale and post-sale scenarios, develop custom software solutions, and provide training to ensure effective software adoption. What You'll Do Provide

pre-sale and post-sale technical support

for the ESPRIT product line. Collaborate with

software development teams

to enhance product functionality. Develop

custom software solutions

for customers and industry partners. Design and deliver

technical training curricula

for customers and internal teams. Travel to

customer sites and industry events

(up to

30% travel per year ) to execute projects and conduct training. Build and maintain strong relationships within the

manufacturing and CNC machining sector .

What We're Looking For Must-Have Qualifications:

BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering

or a related field. Hands-on

CAD/CAM experience . Knowledge of

CNC machining, part programming, and manufacturing processes . Strong ability to

troubleshoot and solve complex technical issues . Excellent

written and verbal communication skills . Experience working in

cross-functional teams .

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

Prior experience in

software applications engineering or technical support . Experience developing

custom post-processors and macros . Understanding of

G-code programming and toolpath optimization . Familiarity with

Python, C++, or VB scripting

for automation.

Physical Requirements

Frequently remains in a

stationary position

for extended periods. Manual dexterity required for

keyboard use and office equipment operation . Regularly moves around

office and factory floor environments . Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to

50 pounds . Requires

close vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment . Frequently communicates with

colleagues and customers .

Work Environment

Primarily an office setting , with occasional visits to customer sites or the factory floor.

Office is

clean, orderly, and properly ventilated , with low to moderate noise levels.

Factory noise levels are moderate;

PPE provided if required .

May require

up to 30% travel .
