Salary: Up to £39,000 (dependent on experience)

Contract Term: 12 Month Fixed Term Maternity Cover

Hours: 37 hours per week

We are on the lookout for a qualified and experienced Social Worker who is enthusiastic and committed to the vital role of foster parents. In this collaborative position, you will:

• Promote meaningful supervision of placements
• Work alongside foster parents as professional colleagues
• Engage in quality assurance and training for foster parents

This role requires a confident driver with a full driving license, as you will be traveling across the North West. You will also need to be an excellent report writer, capable of meeting strict deadlines.

• Hold a Social Work England qualification or equivalent, and be registered with Social Work England
• Experience in fostering
• Comprehensive knowledge of fostering regulations, child care law, and safeguarding legislation
• Excellent communication skills
• Commitment to high-quality practice, including occasional work after 5 PM and on weekends
• Participation in an Out of Hours rota for the Northwest region
• Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and databases

• Provide direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload
• Conduct regular supervision sessions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
• Collaborate with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in meetings and decision-making
