Your Role: MachinistAs a Machinist at DPC, you will play a vital role in our operations. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Setting up and operating computer numerically controlled (CNC) and manual machines.
- Reading process sheets, blueprints, and sketches to determine machining requirements.
- Locating and downloading programs from a DNC storage system.
- Identifying, selecting, and installing the proper tooling for operations.
- Calculating feeds and speeds for various materials including steel, copper, and aluminum.
- Performing quality inspections and adhering to applicable quality systems.
- Engaging in Continuous Improvement activities to enhance productivity.
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
To thrive in this role, you should possess:
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and machining disciplines.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a lean-manufacturing environment.
- Experience with machine control systems such as Fanuc, Mazak, and Haas.
- Proficiency in using precision inspection equipment like micrometers and calipers.
- A strong focus on safety and quality.
- The ability to inspire and motivate your team while managing multiple priorities.
This position requires the ability to work rotating Day/Back/Night shifts. We value a collaborative and supportive work environment where everyone can thrive.
