We are seeking a passionate, creative, and team-oriented Occupational Therapist (OTR/L). If you love working with children and helping empower them, we want to hear from you!
Occupational therapists at *Seattle Therapy Network* are responsible for excellent care/therapy of pediatric clients, including the occasional teen or young adult. As an occupational therapist, you play an integral role in upholding our values of collaboration, communication, credibility, family-centeredness, equity, and fun.
*Responsibilities:*
* Complete comprehensive evaluations of all areas of occupation.
* Collaborate with others to create the best plan of care.
* Complete detailed, accurate, and timely documentation of evaluations, re-evaluations, and daily treatment.
* Provide ongoing therapy services, including family education and home programs. Services are primarily in clinic settings but opportunities for other settings available.
* Maintain productivity and documentation standards for your job description.
* Assist with program development and in-house learning.
* Participate in continuing education relevant to clinic and personal career goals.
* Participate in community outreach events.
* Promote the vision and mission of our organization.
* Participate in fieldwork and intern education.
* Maintain a clean work environment.
*Requirements*:
* Degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program
* Valid Washington state professional license
* Excellent clinical reasoning
* Passion for working with children and families.
* Team oriented.
* Respectful of individual family cultures and values.
* CPR/First Aid Certified.
* Able to prioritize and organize responsibilities.
* Positive attitude.
*The ideal candidate would have the following qualities:*
* 2 or more years experience working in Pediatric Outpatient or school-based setting
* Active member of AOTA and WOTA.
* Experience and understanding of sensory integration, neurodiversity, collaborative problem solving, and self-regulation strategies.
* Experience with a variety of standardized instruments.
* Ability to be flexible, jump-in, and problem solve.
* Desire to celebrate neurodiversity.
* Playful and creative approach to intervention.
* Strong verbal and written skills, including the ability to communicate with a varied audience. Ability to express views and value in occupational therapy.
* Experience running small groups.
